Reporting directly to our CFO, you will be in charge of the management, coordination and overseeing of all general accounting and financial activities including monthly, quarterly and annual group reporting, ensuring IFRS and local GAAP compliance.
Accountabilities
In this role, you lead the General Ledger team and oversee the monthly closing processes for two international entities. Working closely with the Accounts Payable and Budget Controlling & Reporting teams, you ensure a cohesive and efficient financial operation and you are responsible for the accurate and timely management of financial records while driving process and system improvements to support the company’s objectives.
You mentor, train, and develop the General Ledger team in alignment with the vision of the Finance & Administration department and the company’s overall objectives.
You implement and maintain a continuous assessment of the financial close process and internal controls, identifying opportunities for re-engineering to reduce the time required for monthly closings. This includes upgrading systems, local policies, and procedures as needed.
You manage the month-end closing process, ensuring the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of data, including cross-validation with information from various sources. You maintain the integrity of financial information and the general ledger, covering areas such as fixed assets, reserves, payroll accounting, accruals, prepaid expenses, and other critical accounts, while ensuring accurate and complete account reconciliations.
You prepare and review annual financial statements, including footnotes and disclosures, ensuring compliance with local GAAP standards. You also act as the primary contact for external financial audits.
You ensure proper bookings, balances, and reconciliations of bank accounts. You manage third-party customer accounts, including ageing reports and credit collections, while maintaining accurate accounting and reporting for Swiss and foreign VAT.
You coordinate and ensure the proper filing of tax and statutory returns in collaboration with tax advisors. You develop, review, and maintain accounting and reporting procedures to comply with local and group-level Internal Control System (ICS) requirements.
Profile
Holding a university degree in Economics, a Federal Certificate (Brevet fédéral), or equivalent studies, you bring 5 to 7 years of experience in a similar role, with prior experience in a Big 4 accounting firm considered a valuable plus. Your strong knowledge of accounting principles (local GAAP and IFRS) and internal procedures ensures that all financial closing and internal control deadlines are met. You are proficient in SAP and Excel, and familiarity with Power BI is an added advantage.

You are fluent in both French and English, and knowledge of Italian is a useful asset.
