Assistant Underwriter

We are currently looking to recruit a

Assistant Underwriter (Fr/En)

(full-time position) for our Swiss office in Zurich. 

This role is focused on providing underwriting support to the (Senior and Lead) Underwriters.


Your Role

Registering of all relevant data in respect of submissions, special acceptances, endorsements, correspondence, declinations in appropriate system

Examination of wordings

Business correspondence with brokers and clients

Cooperation with Technical Accounting and Claims Management to ensure best practice client services and maintain full overview of administrative matters of client relationship

Process contract documentation, coordinate wording signings with Underwriters and correspondence with clients and brokers

Preparation of statistics and reports for various purposes, e.g. internal and business trips

Editing market data

Preparation of relevant documentation for client/broker visits

Working closely with the Underwriting Management team amongst others in the role as a data steward

Preparing of renewal information


Your Profile

Commercial education or any comparable business studies

A first similar experience in re/insurance industry would be a strong asset

Fluent/Native in French and very good command of English; any other language would be an asset

Good knowledge of MS-Office; additional IT knowledge would be an asset

Ability to work independently and in a team

Team spirit; proactivity and good working flexibility
