Export and Trade Finance Advisor 80-100% (incl. an attractive home office policy and package)
For our client, a global industrial group headquartered in Zürich Oerlikon, we are looking for a driven and ambitious Export and Trade Finance Advisor. In this role you will be providing financial solutions and payment risk mitigation instruments and support the Business in Short Term Trade Finance arranging customer financing, providing financial advisory services related to third-party financing and risk-mitigating solutions. The role is based within the Corporate Treasury department of the group.

Your tasks
- Evaluate and implement global accounts receivable and supplier financing programs while assessing the feasibility of customer finance solutions. Provide expert advice, support project development, and facilitate business growth.
- Forge close working relationships with departments like accounting and legal to ensure proper accounting treatment and negotiate effectively with financial institutions, customers, and government entities.
- Identify critical project risks (credit, payment, political, etc.) and recommend suitable risk mitigation strategies to ensure project feasibility.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders in the realms of customer finance and short-term trade finance, including financial institutions, export credit agencies, and FinTech companies.
- Develop training programs, support and educate colleagues and teams in the areas of short-term trade finance and customer finance.
- Prepare reports and financial analyses on a quarterly and ad hoc basis in compliance with USGAAP.
Your profile
- Hold an advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (e.g., Bachelor's or Master's).
- Possess a minimum of 7 years of professional experience in export and trade finance, including advising on and arranging export, project, or structured customer financing solutions (e.g., ECA financing, leasing, as-a-service models), as well as accounts receivable finance and supply chain financing.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of financial products and markets, particularly in the context of export and trade finance activities. Strong grounding in accounting theory and practice - a profound grasp of USGAAP for accounts receivable finance, supply chain finance, and customer finance models would be advantageous
- Fluent in English; additional languages are advantageous.
- Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Possess robust financial and analytical abilities with a keen focus on processes. Proficiency in reviewing and negotiating legal documentation.
- Showcase a proven ability to establish effective working relationships with individuals at all organizational levels, both internally and externally.
